Obi Wan reframes Luke's mindset in Star Wars:

May the Fourth be with You!

In Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back, Obi Wan Kenobi explains to Luke Skywalker "You’re going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view."

The revelation Darth Vader is Luke's father (yes I know, spoiler!) and not a separate person who killed his father, helps Luke widen his vision of the universe resulting in him developing the valuable skill of considering other points of view. Although this reveals more gray areas about the universe, he learns having an open mind empowers him to see the good remaining in his father.
